We’ve highlighted some of our favorite Happy Hours around Portland and now it’s time to take a look at some of those late-night go-to spots to end your day on a high note.
Oven and Shaker (Pearl District)
Hands-down one of our favorite Happy Hours, regardless of the time! Available Thursday - Saturday from 10 p.m. to close, Oven & Shaker offers up delicious wood-fired Margherita pizzas and homemade Crostini that are some of the best in town. Those delights are perfectly complemented by the tasty wine and beer lists as well as the original handcrafted cocktails like the Pony Express. Giddy up!
Radio Room (King Neighborhood)
Get tuned in at the Radio Room where this “open 365 days a year” restaurant and lounge welcomes everyone with four unique spaces throughout its inviting venue. With two indoor and two outdoor spaces, including some of the best outdoor seating in the city, there is an inviting seat for everyone where you can enjoy a wide variety of house-made fare and specialty cocktails. The twice-a-day Happy Hours (3-7 p.m. & 10 pm - 2 a.m.) ensures everyone has a good time.
The Matador (2 Locations - NW or East Portland)
With its unrivaled passion and knowledge of tequila, what the Matador may lack in happy hour drink specials it more than makes up for with scratch-made dishes, cheap prices and generous portions found on its food menu - like the $5 Grande Nachos that are more than enough to feed a group of four. Daily happy hours from 4-6 p.m. and 10 p.m. - 1 a.m. will happily feed even the largest group while the expansive collection of more 150 different tequilas all but guarantees guests will enjoy the perfect tequila for nearly any occasion.
Southland Whiskey Kitchen (Slabtown)
As well-versed as the Matador staff is about tequila, the team behind Southland Whiskey Kitchen is equally in-tune with the heart and soul behind whiskey. More than 300 different bottles adorn the shelves inside its Slabtown location where house-smoked meats and southern style are on full display. The twice-daily happy hours (3-6 p.m. & 10 p.m. - Close) and convenient location just steps from the Matador in NW Portland makes late-night happy hour bar hopping almost too good to pass up!
Cassidy’s (Downtown)
We doubt you’ll find Cassidy’s on many other lists but that’s why we love this small restaurant and bar that offers remarkable food and a welcoming atmosphere. Daily happy hours from 4-6 p.m. and 10 p.m. - 2 a.m. and a bar that has earned a reputation as one of the finest in town are accompanied by some of our favorite eats in the city like the Crispy Chicken Wrap, which is a must-try.
